By accessing or using canadasolarpro.com and any related pages, subdomains, or services (the "Site"), or by submitting a quote request through the Site, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy.

If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Site or submit information through it.

2. Eligibility

To use the Site or submit a quote request, you must:

  • Be at least 18 years of age and of full legal capacity in your province of residence
  • Be a resident of Canada
  • Own the property for which you are requesting a solar quote, or be authorized to request a quote on behalf of the legal owner
  • Provide accurate, current, and complete information

By submitting information, you represent and warrant that all of the above is true.

3. What Canada Solar Pro Is — and What It Is Not

3.1 What we are

Canada Solar Pro is a lead-generation and matching platform. We provide an online service that connects Canadian homeowners with independent third-party solar installation companies and related service providers ("Installer Partners" and "Service Partners"). We are compensated by Installer Partners and Service Partners when we refer or match homeowners to them.

3.2 What we are not

Canada Solar Pro is not a solar installer, contractor, electrician, financier, lender, broker, equipment supplier, warranty provider, or licensed trades professional. We do not:

  • Design, engineer, sell, install, repair, service, or warranty solar equipment
  • Manufacture, distribute, or sell solar panels, inverters, batteries, or related components
  • Provide financing, loans, leases, or credit
  • Apply for grants, rebates, tax credits, or incentive programs on your behalf
  • Pull permits, perform inspections, or interconnect systems with utility grids
  • Provide engineering, electrical, structural, roofing, or any licensed trade services

Canada Solar Pro has no employer-employee, agency, partnership, joint venture, or franchise relationship with any Installer Partner or Service Partner. Each Installer Partner and Service Partner is an independent business solely responsible for its own work, services, products, pricing, warranties, employees, contractors, licensing, insurance, and compliance with applicable law.

4. Description of the Service

When you submit a quote request through the Site, you authorize us to share your information with one or more Installer Partners or Service Partners who serve your geographic area. Those partners may then contact you directly to discuss your project, provide quotes, schedule assessments, or offer related services.

We do not control:

  • Whether any Installer Partner or Service Partner contacts you
  • The timing, content, or accuracy of any communication you receive from them
  • Their pricing, products, services, workmanship, equipment, warranties, or business practices
  • Their licensing, insurance, certifications, or compliance with law
  • The outcome of any transaction or relationship between you and them

The Site, any quote ranges, savings estimates, payback period estimates, system size estimates, or incentive information presented are for general informational purposes only and are not offers, contracts, guarantees, or professional advice.

5. Your Submissions and Privacy

When you submit information through the Site, you do so subject to our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. You expressly consent to the collection, use, sharing, and sale of your personal information as described in the Privacy Policy, including the sharing of your information with Installer Partners and Service Partners as part of a commercial matching arrangement.

6. CASL Consent

By submitting a quote request, you provide express consent under Canada's Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL) to receive commercial electronic messages and other communications from Canada Solar Pro and our network of Installer Partners and Service Partners by phone, SMS, and email. You may withdraw consent at any time as described in our Privacy Policy.

7. User Obligations and Prohibited Uses

You agree to:

  • Provide accurate, current, and truthful information
  • Use the Site only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms
  • Comply with all applicable laws and regulations

You agree NOT to:

  • Submit false, misleading, fraudulent, or impersonated information
  • Submit information about another person without their authorization
  • Use the Site to harvest, scrape, or collect data about other users or partners
  • Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code from the Site
  • Introduce viruses, malware, or other harmful code
  • Interfere with the Site's operation, security, or other users' use of the Site
  • Use the Site to compete with us, build a competing service, or solicit our partners
  • Use automated systems (bots, scrapers, etc.) to access the Site
  • Infringe any intellectual property, privacy, or other rights of any party
  • Use the Site for any unlawful, deceptive, harassing, or abusive purpose

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Site at any time, with or without notice, for any reason, including suspected violation of these Terms.

8. Estimates, Information, and No Professional Advice

Any information on the Site about solar costs, savings, payback periods, system sizing, electricity rates, government incentives, financing programs, net metering, or related topics is provided for general informational purposes only. It is not professional advice and should not be relied on as such.

  • Estimates are illustrative, not guarantees
  • Actual results depend on your specific roof, location, system size, electricity usage, weather, equipment, installation quality, utility rates, government program eligibility, and many other factors
  • Government incentives, grants, rebates, tax credits, and financing programs change frequently — verify current eligibility and terms with the issuing authority
  • We do not guarantee that any incentive, program, or financing will be available to you

You are responsible for conducting your own due diligence, verifying information independently, and obtaining qualified professional advice (engineering, legal, financial, tax, electrical) before making any decision related to solar installation or financing.

9. No Warranties

THE SITE AND ALL CONTENT, INFORMATION, ESTIMATES, MATERIALS, AND SERVICES PROVIDED ON OR THROUGH THE SITE ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE," WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED.

WE EXPRESSLY DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION:

WE MAKE NO REPRESENTATION OR WARRANTY THAT YOU WILL RECEIVE A QUOTE, BE CONTACTED BY ANY INSTALLER PARTNER, OR ACHIEVE ANY PARTICULAR RESULT FROM USING THE SITE.

Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties. To the extent any warranty cannot be disclaimed under applicable law, that warranty is limited to the minimum scope and duration permitted by law.

10. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW:

IN NO EVENT SHALL CANADA SOLAR PRO, DEAL ZONE AUTO LTD., OR ANY OF ITS DIRECTORS, OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES, AGENTS, CONTRACTORS, AFFILIATES, OR REPRESENTATIVES BE LIABLE TO YOU OR ANY THIRD PARTY FOR:

  • ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES
  • LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUE, BUSINESS, OPPORTUNITY, GOODWILL, OR ANTICIPATED SAVINGS

  • DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR RELIANCE ON ANY ESTIMATE, QUOTE, INFORMATION, OR CONTENT PROVIDED ON OR THROUGH THE SITE
  • DAMAGES ARISING FROM UNAUTHORIZED ACCESS TO OR USE OF YOUR INFORMATION

This applies whether the claim is based on contract, tort (including negligence), strict liability, statute, or any other legal theory, and whether or not we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

Maximum Aggregate Liability: In no event shall our total aggregate liability to you for all claims arising from or related to your use of the Site or these Terms exceed CAD $100 (one hundred Canadian dollars).

You acknowledge that the Site is provided to you free of charge and that the limitations in this Section 10 are a fundamental basis of the bargain between you and us. Without these limitations, we would not provide the Site.

Consumer protection laws: Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes liability that cannot be limited or excluded under applicable consumer protection law (including British Columbia's Business Practices and Consumer Protection Act and Quebec's Consumer Protection Act). Where any limitation in this section is held unenforceable, our liability shall be limited to the maximum extent permitted by law.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Canada Solar Pro, Deal Zone Auto Ltd., and its directors, officers, employees, agents, contractors, affiliates, and representatives from and against any and all claims, demands, losses, liabilities, damages, judgments, awards, settlements, costs, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from or related to:

  • Your use of the Site
  • Your submission of any information through the Site
  • Your breach of these Terms or our Privacy Policy
  • Your violation of any law or the rights of any third party
  • Any dispute, contract, transaction, work, equipment, service, or interaction between you and any Installer Partner, Service Partner, or other third party
  • Any claim by an Installer Partner or Service Partner against us arising from or related to information you submitted

We reserve the right to assume the exclusive defence and control of any matter subject to indemnification, in which case you agree to cooperate with our defence.

12. Disputes With Installer Partners and Service Partners

Any dispute, claim, or grievance you have arising from or related to any Installer Partner or Service Partner — including their pricing, quoting practices, workmanship, equipment, warranties, contract terms, performance, communications, billing, financing, conduct, employees, or compliance with law — is solely between you and that party. We are not a party to any such dispute and have no obligation to mediate, arbitrate, refund, compensate, repair, replace, or otherwise resolve it.

You release Canada Solar Pro and Deal Zone Auto Ltd. from all claims, demands, and damages of every kind and nature, known or unknown, suspected or unsuspected, arising out of or in any way connected with such disputes.

If you have a complaint about an Installer Partner or Service Partner, contact them directly. You may also contact the applicable provincial consumer protection authority, licensing body, or trades regulator.

13. Intellectual Property

All content on the Site — including text, graphics, logos, images, photographs, illustrations, software, code, layouts, and design — is owned by Deal Zone Auto Ltd., its licensors, or its content providers, and is protected by Canadian and international intellectual property laws.

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to access and use the Site for personal, non-commercial purposes in accordance with these Terms. You may not copy, reproduce, modify, distribute, publicly display, publish, sell, license, or create derivative works from any Site content without our prior written permission.

"Canada Solar Pro," the Canada Solar Pro logo, and related branding are trademarks of Deal Zone Auto Ltd. All other trademarks are the property of their respective owners.

14. Third-Party Links and Content

The Site may contain links to third-party websites, including those of Installer Partners, Service Partners, government agencies, or informational resources. We do not control, endorse, sponsor, or assume responsibility for any third-party site, content, product, or service. Your access to and use of third-party sites is at your own risk and subject to those sites' own terms and policies.

15. Modification, Suspension, and Termination of the Service

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the Site (or any portion of it) at any time, with or without notice, for any reason. We will not be liable to you or any third party for any modification, suspension, or discontinuation of the Site.

We may also suspend or terminate your access to the Site at any time, with or without notice, for any reason, including suspected violation of these Terms.

16. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms and any dispute, claim, or matter arising out of or relating to them, the Site, or your use of the Site shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Province of British Columbia and the federal laws of Canada applicable in British Columbia, without regard to conflict of law principles.

You agree that any action, suit, or proceeding arising out of or related to these Terms, the Site, or your use of the Site shall be brought exclusively in the courts of competent jurisdiction located in Vancouver, British Columbia, and you irrevocably submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of those courts.

This section does not limit any non-waivable rights you may have under the consumer protection laws of your province of residence.

17. Class Action Waiver

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, you and Canada Solar Pro agree that any dispute will be brought in your individual capacity, and not as a plaintiff or class member in any purported class, collective, consolidated, or representative proceeding. You waive any right to participate in a class action, class arbitration, or representative action against us.

If a court of competent jurisdiction determines this class action waiver is unenforceable in a particular dispute, that determination does not affect the enforceability of any other provision of these Terms. Nothing in this section limits any non-waivable right under applicable consumer protection law.

18. Limitation Period

You agree that any claim arising out of or related to these Terms, the Site, or your use of the Site must be commenced within one (1) year after the cause of action arose, or it is forever barred, except where a longer minimum period is required by applicable law.

19. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is held by a court of competent jurisdiction to be invalid, illegal, or unenforceable, that provision shall be severed and the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect. The invalid provision shall be replaced with a valid provision that most closely matches the intent of the original.

20. No Waiver

No failure or delay by us to enforce any right or provision of these Terms shall be deemed a waiver of that right or provision. Any waiver must be in writing and signed by an authorized representative.

21. Assignment

You may not assign or transfer these Terms or any rights under them without our prior written consent. We may assign these Terms at any time without notice or consent, including in connection with a merger, acquisition, sale of assets, or by operation of law.

22. Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Canada Solar Pro regarding the Site and supersede all prior or contemporaneous agreements, understandings, and communications, whether written or oral.

23. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be posted with a new effective date. Your continued use of the Site after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. If you do not agree with the updated Terms, stop using the Site.
